David Armand (born 1980) is an American writer of fiction. He has published two novels, ''The Pugilist's Wife'' and ''Harlow''. == Early life and Education ==
Armand was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. His mother was schizophrenic, thus was unable to raise him. His biological father did not want to take care of him, and so Armand was adopted by his aunt and uncle and grew up in Folsom, Louisiana, on a large piece of land with horses, dogs, and chickens. He attended public schools, worked odd jobs after high school and, at twenty, enrolled in Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond. Armand ultimately earned an MA in English and creative writing, studying under Tim Gautreaux.〔http://davidarmandauthor.wordpress.com/〕〔http://www.neworleansreview.org/david-armand-harlow/〕〔http://deepsouthmag.com/2014/03/interview-with-david-armand/〕〔http://www.bellerevejournal.com/2014/03/interview-with-author-david-armand.html〕
